The New Hampshire Turnpike System currently comprises
93 miles of limited access highway, 36 miles of which are part of the U.S.
Interstate Highway System, covering a total of approximately 631 total
lane miles. Since beginning operations in 1950, the Turnpike System has
contributed to the development of the New Hampshire economy. The Turnpike
System is composed of three limited access highways: the Blue Star
Turnpike (I-95) and the Spaulding Turnpike, which are collectively
referred to as the Eastern Turnpike, and the Central Turnpike.

Castle Rock is providing consultant services to the New Hampshire
Department of Transportation to streamline their business processes
related to collection of tolls on the New Hampshire Turnpike System as
part of a process to recommend a new, improved toll collection system
which includes electronic toll collection (ETC).
The new toll collection system will be comprised of Automatic Vehicle
Identification (AVI) equipment, conventional Automated Coin Machine (ACM)-based
toll collection equipment, manned toll collection, an integrated computer
and communications system, and all supporting lane equipment and
architectural structures to operate the system.
Castle Rock uses Business Redesign techniques to optimize operations from
a business perspective while addressing existing operational processes.
Products will include a turnkey solution providing improved business
processes and computing functionality, and procurement documents for a
conventional and ETC system. Castle Rock will provide technical assistance
during system procurement, installation, and testing.
