Traveler Information Web Pages

Informing the public of the impacts of roadwork, accidents, weather, and other key events is an important aspect to managing the transportation network. With the increased emphasis on security, there have recently been requests for additional information on potential evacuation routes.

Castle Rock recognizes that traveler information web pages must be easily understood by all the travelling public. In order to provide this, we have developed a series of web pages that interact with the CARS condition reporting system to replicate the maps with revised displays of conditions that are more easily understood by the travelling public. This allows us to work with each state to understand the local preferences for on-screen icons and other displays.

The traveler information web pages linked to the CARS condition reporting system may refresh as often as once per minute. Typical configurations support separate pages for Critical Incidents, Road Conditions, Roadwork, Commercial Vehicles, and Cameras. However, additional pages tailored to local needs or preferences have been developed.
